As coordinator of the project, IMEC will lead all tasks related to project management and exploitation & dissemination (WP1 and WP2). As a large research organization, IMEC has an experienced team of dedicated project management people that have a vast experience in coordinating and managing large-scale European funded projects in different fields such as PV and ICT. IMEC will contribute to the optimization of hightemperature
passivating contacts (WP3) by making use of its state-of-the-art infrastructure to process highly efficient large area nPERT cells, where we will develop nPERT cut-cells (1/4 size or smaller) with efficiencies23.0%. IMEC will use its automated module assembly tool for 60-cell module size to develop advanced shingling processes (WP4) and modular module designs (WP5). In particular, IMEC will use its unique double-side membrane laminator and advanced module characterization equipment (climatic chambers, large area module bifacial LED solar simulator, facade-integrated outdoor setup, etc.) to develop, optimize and monitor high-performance (planar) BIPV and (curved) VIPV modules (WP6).
